About Us

Our history dates back to 1926 with the founding of the General Flavoring and Extract Company in Cincinnati, Ohio. In 1994, General Flavors became Flavor Systems International. This change was prompted by a major investment in the research and production capabilities of the organization.

FSI is still located in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. This location allows us to take advantage of the superior shipping and transportation options in or our region.

Our corporate headquarters and R&D facility, along with our two manufacturing facilities, comprise approximately 70,000 square feet. Our liquid production capability is 12,000 gallons per day. Spray dry capacity totals 5,000 pounds per day. Dry blending capacity is 12,000 pounds per day.

Our R&D center has laboratories for sweet flavor development, savory flavor development, beverage applications and culinary applications. Our applications laboratories allow us to create and test new food and beverage products before they see the marketplace.
